EXAMPLE LETTER
----------------------

Dear (insert supervisor name here),

I support California Pacific Medical Center’s vision for the future of health care in San Francisco. Non-profit CPMC is vital to our city’s health care delivery and overall economy. Its long range plan will upgrade our city’s health facilities to ensure that San Franciscans receive leading-edge, patient-centered care for future generations.

I understand that with no taxpayer money, CPMC will:

• Commit more than $200 million to revitalize and rebuild St. Luke’s, which is vital to the success of SF General Hospital;

• Create a state-of-the-art Neuroscience Institute at the Davies Campus

• Build world-class cardiac and stroke care centers and a Women’s & Children’s hospital at Van Ness & Geary that will revitalize the Van Ness corridor;

• Create thousands of construction jobs during a time of economic crisis;

• Meet state mandates to replace seismically inadequate hospitals by 2015;

• Construct a world-class “green” building to maximize energy efficiency and environmental sustainability;

• Inject $2.5 billion into our economy.

Please count me as a supporter of California Pacific Medical Center.

I encourage you to do everything in your power to secure San Francisco’s health care future by rebuilding CPMC.

Thank you,
