I Support Rebuilding California Pacific Medical Center

I support California Pacific Medical Center's vision for the future of health care in San Francisco. Nonprofit CPMC is vital to our city's health care delivery and overall economy. Its long-range plan will upgrade our city's health facilities to ensure that San Franciscans receive leading-edge, patient- centered care for future generations.

At no taxpayer expense, CPMC's plan will:

(1) Revitalize and rebuild St. Luke's, a critical health access point serving the southern sector of San Francisco.
(2) Build world-class cardiac and stroke care centers and a Women and Children's Hospital on Van Ness at Geary that will revitalize the Van Ness corridor.
(3) Create a state-of-the-art Neurosciences Institute at the Davies campus.
(4) Create 1500 construction jobs during a time of economic crisis.
(5) Meet state mandates to replace seismically inadequate hospitals by 2015.
(6) Construct world-class "green" buildings to maximize energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
(7) Inject $1.9 billion into our economy.
