Sunday Streets Initiative
Mayor Gavin Newsom held a press conference at AT&T Park to unveil his new Sunday Streets Initiative, which will create a route for local families, youth and adults to walk, jog, and bike. This Streets Initiative, lead sponsored by CPMC, will open a stretch of roadway connecting the Bayview District to Chinatown along the city’s waterfront to connect neighborhood and promote healthy exercise. “Sunday Streets represents our city’s next innovative step toward a healthier community,” said Mayor Newsom. “As we combat the health epidemic of youth and adult obesity, activating our residents is critical.” CPMC is proud to sponsor this free family activity which will run from 9am-1pm on two Sundays (August 31st and September 14th) this summer.Take Up Your Keyboard and Talk to Us
