July 27th - HepB event a success!
Last Sunday, hundreds of eager San Franciscans attended the "1 in 10: Hepatitis B in the API/Chinese Community" screening event sponsored by CPMC and SF HepB Free. Held at Tong Palace Restaurant in San Francisco's Richmond District, nearly 100 people were screened for the Hepatitis B virus, while over 200 people participated in an educational presentation moderated by Richmond Area Multi-Services president Kavoos G. Bassiri and delivered by Dr. Stewart Cooper and Dr. Albert Yu. Special thanks to Supervisor McGoldrick, AsianWeek's Editor-in-Chief Ted Fang, as well as UC Berkeley's Team HBV, and all the volunteers that made this event a huge success while working to build a healthier San Francisco.Take Up Your Keyboard and Talk to Us
