St. Luke's Campus
A Blue Ribbon Panel convened in spring 2008 to provide a consensus proposal for the future of the St. Luke’s Campus. The Panel’s goal was to create a viable plan which complements and is supported by California Pacific’s plans for its other campuses.
On September 25, 2008, the CPMC Board of Directors unanimously approved to proceed with planning for implementation of the main recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Panel.
Among the recommendations the CPMC Board voted to approve are:
- Building a new acute care community hospital on the site of the St. Luke's Campus.
- Integrating the medical staffs at St. Luke's and CPMC.
- Maintaining critical services at St. Luke's including an Emergency Department, OB/GYN, medical/surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Urgent Care, and Senior Health.
The Resolution by the CPMC Board recognizes the important link between the future of the St. Luke's Campus and the proposed campus at Van Ness and Geary, which will help provide funding to rebuild the St. Luke's Campus.
